Is it okay to exercise after Dysport/Botox and Restylane?

I had touch ups of dysport and restylane yesterday around 3:00 pm and am a huge exercise person. The person that did all the injections said it would be fine to go ahead and exercise today. I do heavy weight and interval cardio. Just wondered your opinion

There is no good data on this that I've ever seen but I disagree although it doesn't make the treatment less effective.   We ask patients to abstain from really vigorous exercise for 24 to 48 hours because it takes several hours for the Botox to really bind to the receptors and you don't want to flush it out, right??  It's too expensive!  More on Botox problems.

Also, in rare cases the exercise (.....like don't stand on your head in yoga) could make the Botox or Dysport migrate a little which isn't good  for the results.

Also, all the HA fillers expand some as they absorb fluid from your own tissue.  That expansion can rupture tiny blood vessels. It makes you a little more likely to bruise, even on the 2nd day,  if you're really active in the first few days.

 Hope this helps,  Dr. I
