Jul 28, 2013 hello Dr Brandith,i am a 20 year old female that hardly suffers from skin problems . lately i have been,i have really itchy skin especialy on my face,i have pimples which i normaly dont have.My skin is also not oily. could it possibly be weather conditions? i've recently moved from one particular area to another.Generally, acne doesn't itch but irritant or allergic problems do. Do me one favor though, and if you can't figure it out in the next few weeks or it gets worse, see a dermatologist! Things to think about include the fact that there are many different degrees of irritant or allergic reactions on the skin. They range from very mild with little bumps to a full blown allergic reaction with hives and breathing problems and everything in between. If you can't locate a relatively new face product, soap or laundry soap that might be it, then think about changes in eating habits, especially summer fruit, or things like new exposures to pets. Also, dryness by itself can cause itching and little bumps (mild eczema) so if you've moved from Hawaii to Arizona, you may have your culprit. Go to Home, then Topics, then sensitive skin for more info. Hope this helps, Dr. I
